Massing Of The Colors Ceremony

Withlachoochee chapter. Sons of The Revolution Color Guard once again participates in Massing of The Colors
Crystal River High School JROTC Commander Elizabeth Rivera, in picture below, salutes the American Flag Sunday night as her troops present the colors at the 25th annual Massing of the Colors held at the Inverness Baptist Church.
Massing of the Colors is a patriotic ceremony held to rededicate faith in the United States and to present support to the national colors, and the servicemen and women those colors represent. On display last night were the colors and color guards of active, reserve and National Guard military components and local veteran, civic and patriotic organizations. including The Sons Of The American Revolution.
The ceremony marks the conclusion of Veterans Week. Retired Chief Warrant Officer of the U.S. Marine Corps J.J. Kenney was Master of Ceremonies last night and retired U.S. Central Command Provost Marshal and Citrus County Sheriff Mike Prendergast was the guest speaker.
