JROTC Recognition Program
The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) awards the ROTC Medal to foster the principle of the “citizen-soldier,” exemplified by the Minutemen of Revolutionary War days. This award is presented by an SAR Chapter, State-level Society, or the National Society to ROTC or JROTC cadets who are selected for having a high degree of merit with respect to leadership qualities, military bearing, and general excellence. The recipients are selected by the Commanding Officer of the JROTC unit, who should be given full latitude in making the selection.

On May 11, 2018, Compatriot Tom Hellen of the Withlachoochee Chapter of SAR presented Cadet Grace Powers the Bronze JROTC Medal and Certificate at The Navy JROTC Presentation. The presentation was held at The Central High School in Brooksville, FL, hosted by Major Christopher Nolf with over 100+ people attending the event.

On May 4, 2018, Richard Trout Jr. of the Withlachoochee Chapter of SAR presented Cadet Shea Spenser the Bronze JROTC Medal and Certificate. The presentation was held at The Hernando High School in Brooksville, FL, hosted by Colonel Creager with over 100 people attending the event.

On April 27, 2018, Compatriot James Echlin of the Withlachoochee Chapter of SAR presented Cadet SSGT Jared Stevens the Bronze JROTC Medal and Certificate at the Air Force JROTC Presentation. The presentation was held at Citrus High School in Inverness, FL, hosted by JROTC Colonel Yamrose with over 100+ people attending the event.

The presentation was held at Lencanto High School in Lencanto, FL, hosted by Lt. Colonel David Brown with over 100+ people attending the event.
