NSSAR 235th Anniversary Commemoration, Ceremony Battle of Groton Heights,
Fort Griswold Battlefield 
State Park, Groton Connecticut

I knew I would be in Connecticut on September 4th for the Battle of Groton Heights Commeration so I made contact with CT State SAR President, Ethan Stewart and let him know I would like to attend the Groton Commeoration event. I was then put me in touch with David Perkins, CTSSAR Commander of the Connecticut Line. I was given all the information I needed to take part. Col. Perkins was a great representative of the CT Color Guard and made me feel at home.    Charlie Day

The Wreath laying and Remembrance at both the Fort Griswold Site and the Col. Ledyard Cemetery ended with a firing of three rounds by the Connecticut Line black powder contingent. Very impressive.
