Walmart Personnel Generosity to Veterans Recognized by SAR Chapter for
Christmas 2015
The Withlacoochee Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution recently recognized the generosity that the Homosassa Walmart store Associate personnel exhibit toward veterans at the Baldomero Lopez Florida State Veterans Nursing Home in Land o’ Lakes, FL. Each year, during the Christmas season, they personally provide gifts to those veterans at the home who are without family. The needs of each veteran is determined and turned over to the Walmart Associates for fulfillment. The gratitude of the veterans is evidenced by the smiles on their faces and the tears shed by those that thought that there was no one concerned about their welfare. Pictured above, a plaque recognizing the generosity of the employees was presented by SAR Chapter Secretary Larry Sturgeon to Suzanne Green, Personnel Manager, and Store Manager Ed Shaw with Walmart Associates and other SAR personnel standing by.
