Below is an outline of the Flag Day Committee meeting held last Thursday at the Floral City Library.
Replacing blue star dedication portion of program with 5 armed services plaques
Plaques cost and sponsorship TBD at next meeting
Time will stay the same. 9:30am Wednesday June 14, 2017
Could not hear girl Scouts, different sound system this year courtesy of Fred at American legion
Changes to program as follows:
1) Welcome
2) Invocation
3) Introduction
4) Presentation- Boy scouts, legion, DAR, SAR
5) Posting Girl- Scouts
6) Pledge
7) National anthem
8) history of the flag
9) ode to the flag 1
10) DAR flag etiquette
11) flag folding Boy scouts
12) Dedication of plaques of 5 armed forces
13) Sing along
14) Benediction
15) Retirement of colors - same as presentation
16) Announcements/refreshments?
Would like run through possibly week before
Need to contact Tricia about 4-H helping hand out fans/scrolls/ bottles of water.
